Due to continued expansion the position of Service Manager has arisen within their fire division. The role is responsible for the management of service levels, satisfaction of a diverse customer base and taking ownership of client issues as well as responsibility for the day to day management of the service/installation team. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in liaising with customers to ensure specifications and requirements are met, show an ability to deliver timely and accurate information to facilitate a clear understanding of the performance of service level agreements and continually strive to maintain and improve customer satisfaction. Our client, a multi-brand commercial products manufacturer serving customers in diverse global markets, seeks to recruit a New Product Development Manager to join their team. The position will sit within the Centre of Excellence for Door Systems and be responsible for approximately 21 personnel across the UK, Germany and Denmark. The key objectives are; to drive the execution and delivery of NPD (new product development) projects with strong cross functional involvement; to fill the project roadmap/project pipeline with new ideas to drive more innovation; to lead the team to keep the right balance between NPD, productivity and innovation; to look at how areas can be recognized to maximize synergies within the CoE; to initiate technology partnerships and cooperation with other company entities, in order to improve speed and time to market and define the strategy for outsourcing vs. internal development. The successful candidate will have previous experience within a design/product development role with experience of implementing engineering strategy across European borders. You will have proven leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor a team of professionals. PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR – Surrey - £20k + Benefits
Our client, a supplier of professional security solutions to the commercial sector across the UK, specializing in CCTV, access control and intruder systems, seeks to recruit a project co-ordinator to join their team in Surrey. This is an office-based position responsible for the co-ordination and monitoring of all installation projects from start to completion. You will liaise with engineers on a day to day basis to obtain progress reports and ensure agreed timescales are met, as well as liaising with clients to answer any queries and provide updates. You will also be responsible for the monitoring and co-ordination of the service team, ensuring all routine and emergency calls are attended to within timescales agreed with client. The successful candidate will have excellent organization skills and the ability to multi-task. In addition, you will be required to manage all incoming calls and enquiries, produce accurate reports as required and monitor/measure set KPI’s on a regular basis. Our client, a specialist in the installation, maintenance and monitoring of security systems, requires an Office Manager to join their Leeds branch. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the office, ensuring the operation runs smoothly. Tasks will include ensuring all client correspondence and engineer paperwork is complete and correct, setting-up and managing a client database, organisation and maintenance of manual filing system, supervising junior office personnel and assisting the Managing Director in a variety of projects. The successful candidate will also be responsible for checking, clearing and cancelling alarm receiving centre and sub contractor invoicing when required and ensuring that re-invoicing to clients takes place. In addition you will carry out the role of Quality Manager incorporating quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement.  Previous experience within either a supervisory or management position is essential, with experience working in electronic security being a distinct advantage. SECURITY TECHNOLOGY MANAGER – South East – c.£45k + car allowance (£5,400 p.a.) + bonus (up to 25%) + pension + private medical cover
Our client, the operator of one of the UK’s busiest airports, wishes to appoint a security technology manager to be responsible for the management of all security related technology and systems, providing support to the operational security team as well as providing technology expertise for new projects. Key responsibilities will include; monitoring the effectiveness of current security processes and identifying problems capable of resolution through deployment of new technology; monitoring the research, development and deployment of new security technology at airports around the world in order to keep the business at the forefront of innovation in the security field; building and maintaining relationships within industry and Government to influence new security developments;  managing security trials, working in partnership with external bodies such as Government and their agencies. You should have an excellent understanding of the security function from strategic and operational dimensions, with a sound grasp of the leading available technologies and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant security role. You will need first class operational security experience (Level 3 Security trained) including designing, developing and implementing process changes as well as an understanding of NASP/SDAM/HSM/ EU 2320 and EU 820, plus DfT processes / policy. You will be tasked with providing physical security services and will be responsible for the strategic overview of all physical security, producing detailed specifications for projects worldwide. You will work alongside line management on the development and implementation of security policies and procedures, incorporating both physical security measures and electronic security systems.  You will also be involved in turnkey projects involving procedures that dovetail with and support the Business Continuity Advisor. Previous experience of specifying electronic security systems is essential, preferably within an advisory role. You will be tasked with reviewing and revamping the entire operation to improve productivity and processes covering both machinery and personnel. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the engineering team, including recruitment, training, review and development, disciplinary and dismissal procedures. In addition you will be responsible for all new product introductions, preparing and managing projects for new products and new processes. The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a manufacturing environment and be able to manage production processes as well as a large team.
